Brad Paisley has a Fralin Blues Special in the bridge of his ’68 Pink Paisley Tele. Fender Nashville Power Tele, Epiphone Dot, Boss ME50, Crate Blue Voodoo 120 Fender LaBrea, Small Pa assorted guitars and stuff. Tom Anderson builds his own pickups from original designs, often with Neodymium magnets as opposed to the traditional AlNiCo. Kiss, Shooter Jennings, Buckethead, Brad Paisley, You name it. My influences are : Texas Red Dirt Country Stoney Larue,Randy Rogers,Scott Wiggins band, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Kevin Fowler, JB and the Moonshine band, Maranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn,Clint Black,Dierks Bentley,Brad Paisley,Brent Mason, etc. Voodoo, Bill Lawrence, and APC all make great Tele pickups that suit the country guitar style well. If you want to replicate the vintage flat picker or finger style sound of the 1940s, this is the perfect instrument, says GAG owner John Reynolds. However, I been prating a lot of Paisley tunes and for playability reasons I am trying to use my second tele which is Tom Anderson T Icon. Golden Age Guitars is now an authorized dealer of Waterloo Guitars, made in Austin, Texas, by Collings Guitars, one of the top acoustic guitar makers in the industry. It does have that vintage fender tone and I can get in Paisley ballpark with volume & cut at 11, bass- 1 o'clock and treble at 11.
